REDcert-EU for the Biofuel sector

For the sustainability certification of biomass, biofuels, bioliquids and biomass fuels is the REDcert-EU scheme available.

The former and no longer active REDcert-DE scheme was approved as a certification scheme on 20 July 2010, by the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung – BLE). Two years later the REDcert-EU scheme was recognized by the European Commission. Today, the REDcert-EU scheme is one of the leading certification schemes for sustainable biomass, biofuels, bioliquids and biomass fuels and can be used globally.The REDcert-EU scheme can be applied to all of the steps involved in the process starting with production and collection of input materials through to processing in oil mills and the production of biofuel, bioliquids and biomass fuels.

Our data privacy policy complies with the regulations in Germany’s Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Telemedia Act (TMG). We only collect, process and store your personal data to handle enquiries and, if necessary, to manage orders/contracts. Only if you have given your consent separately in advance will your data also be used for other purposes specifically defined in the consent, e.g. for information about services by newsletter.

2. Anonymous/pseudonymous use of the website

You can visit our website without providing any personal data. Anonymous information does not relate to an identified or identifiable natural person or to personal data rendered anonymous in such a manner that the data subject is not or no longer identifiable. Personal data which has undergone pseudonymisation is kept separately from the pseudonym user. User profiles are not created with pseudonyms.

3. Special functions of our website

Our website offers you a range of functions which require us to collect, process and store your personal data. We explain what happens to this data below:

Contact form(s):

The data collected via our contact form(s) is only used to handle enquiries received through the contact form(s). After your enquiries are processed, the collected data is deleted immediately as long as there are no legal retention periods.

• Login area:

You can use a separate login area on our website. If you have forgotten your password or user name for this area, you can have this data sent to you again after entering your contact data (e-mail address). We collect, store and process the user data generated when using the login area only for the purpose of preventing misuse and troubleshooting problems or maintaining functionality. The data is not used for other purposes or shared with third parties. The data collected for the “Forgot user name or password” function is only used to resend forgotten access data.

• Newsletter:

We use the data entered in the registration mask of our newsletter for the sole purpose of sending our newsletter. It contains information about all of our services. After registration, we will send you a confirmation e-mail containing a link to click on to complete your subscription to our newsletter (double opt-in). The newsletter can be cancelled at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link. Your data is deleted within 6 months after you unsubscribe. If you do not complete registration, your data is also deleted by us within 6 months.

4. Disclosure of data/intended purpose

We only share personal data with third parties insofar as this is necessary for us to fulfil our contractual obligations, in particular to settle a completed contract. Personal data is no shared with third parties except for the aforementioned purposes of contract management and payment processing. If you make personal data available to us under the terms of an explicit consent, this data is only used for the purpose on which the consent is based and to which you have agreed in advance. We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary or legally required for the intended purpose of the data collection. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Your legitimate interests will be protected in compliance with legal provisions. You can find out which of your personal data is stored from the party responsible.

5. Statistical analysis of visits to this website

We collect, process and store the following data when you access this website or individual files on the website: IP address, website from which the file was accessed, name of the file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred and a report on whether the download was successful (web log). We use this access data exclusively in a non-personalised form to continuously improve our website and for statistical purposes.

We cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating by e-mail, which is why we recommend that you send highly confidential information by post.

8. Automatic e-mail archiving

We would like to expressly point out that our e-mail system has automated archiving. All incoming and outgoing e-mails are archived in digital and tamper-proof form for reasons related to tax law (Principles for properly maintaining and storing books, records and documents in electronic form and for data access (GoBD) sections 146, 147 of the German Tax Code) and commercial law. Zipped (WinZip, WinRAR, 7Zip, etc.) files are not delivered by our security systems. Please be aware that your application documents are not transmitted in encrypted form. We assume that we are also allowed to respond to your application e-mails without encryption. If you prefer an encrypted response, please let us know in your application e-mail. We are not liable for any unauthorised access to application documents by third parties that may occur while sending unencrypted e-mails.
