REDcert²
Sustainable certification for agricultural raw materials in the food and feed industry
The certification of sustainable biomass and thus compliance with certain sustainability criteria has long since stopped being limited to just the biofuel industry, it also increasingly plays an important role in the food and feed industry.
Since 2015, REDcert² has been a trusted certification scheme for sustainable agricultural raw materials in the food and feed industry. Based on the REDcert-EU scheme and the internationally recognized criteria of the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI), REDcert² ensures full traceability and sustainability across the entire value chain – from farm to final product. With the SAI ‘Gold’ recognition in multiple European countries, REDcert² reinforces its leadership in sustainability certification.
In 2024, the scheme was expanded by the voluntary extension module ‘Responsible Farming’. This module introduces additional requirements for the social responsibility of farms, primarily based on criteria from the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation (FEFAC).
It also provides the option to demonstrate compatibility with the supplementary ‘QS Sojaplus’ module.
As a relaible partner in the certification of sustainable agricultural raw materials, REDcert combines innovation, flexibility, and practical solutions to meet the diverse requirements of the market.
