Creation of sustainability certificates for consignments or sales of sustainable biofuel that was already use to fulfil a national quota
In a current letter, the European Commission once again emphasised that for consignments or sales of sustainable biofuel that was already used to fulfil a national quota, no further sustainability certificates should be issued. Otherwise this could result in the same sustainability certificate being credited twice. This would represent a violation of the EU Directive and/or national law.
REDcert once again confirms its previous statement that system participants are not allowed to credit the same quantity of biofuel multiple times.
